Swaddle Your Baby, Not Your Success Mama! That's right, it may be instinct for you to stay in your warm and cozy burrito, but if you allow yourself to keep playing small in your business it's going to make that whole feeling of "being stuck" even stronger. In this month's blog post I wanted to share a little lesson I learned during my maternity leave to help you break free from all of that nonsense, because there are things that are TOTALLY in your control and that you can do right now to get you unstuck!
I recently gave birth to my sweet baby girl, which means I've had a lot of downtime. HA, who am I kidding... there's no downtime with a newborn! BUT, I did take some time off from working to prep for her arrival, and I haven't quite got back into the swing of things yet considering I'm only one month postpartum.
During this new season of life where I'm not pushing super hard in my business, it actually allowed me to take a much-more relaxed look at what's working and what's not working. More importantly, it allowed me to pay extra attention to the market, and mama has it been talking?!
I'm willing to bet you've noticed the same thing I have, which is that what used to work doesn't work anymore. Nope, the people of 2024 have a new set of standards for their wants and needs, and their demand for transformation is even higher!
You've probably noticed this change yourself because you've been getting lower engagement and reach on social media or not as many email clicks as you'd like... but the biggest tell has been affecting what matters most to your business... SALES!!!!
You're struggling to find & land new clients... No one is saying "yes" to that beautifully crafted offer of yours... it's maddening, I know.
Well mama, I'm here to tell you that it doesn't have to be that way. In fact, it might be time for you to take your own little "maternity leave" from your business.
No, I'm not saying go have a baby right now, (unless you're ready for that of course, that's your personal choice.)
And I'm also not saying to quit or burn your business down to start something entirely new.
Here's what I AM saying though... Let go of the reigns a little bit and allow yourself to truly watch what's happening in the world. Listen to the needs of your audience. Understand your customer's journey. Imagine you want the same thing they want.
When you take the time to hone in on your dream client and in a way that has WAY less pressure to "make your business work"... you'll find a way to make your business actually work!
So, take a little time off mama... you deserve it anyways! After you do, I'd love to hear if anything spoke to you.
P.S. In honor of the eye-opening intel that I've discovered, I'm working on something new and I just might need YOUR help, so keep your eyes peeled for another email from me soon.
P.P.S. You are NOT going to want to miss out on this, I promise!
